Use the Parental Controls offered by your Internet Provider. 5. Have your child use sites that are created for children. This is especially true if your child visits a chat room. Children's chat rooms feature an adult monitor to ensure the appropriateness of the discussion. 6. Promote your child telling you if anything upsets them or makes them feel uncomfortable while on the Internet. 7. Have a password that you must enter to allow them to go on the Internet. Insist on knowing all of their passwords. 8. Read and review their email and all correspondence via the Internet. |
