Welcome to the NEW Library!
We are starting off the 2008-09 school year in a new library! The library is now located in the old Kindergarten building. We have plenty of space to look for books and read. We are still in the process of arranging the shelves and filing the books, but the library is open for business. Come by and see us.

Grades K - 3

ERIC CARLE is the featured Children's Author & illustrator this Fall in the little children's section of the Library.
This section of the library is especially designed for students in grades Kindergarten through grade 3. The books are selected for their reading levels and the furniture is perfect for their sizes.
We are learning about the life of Eric Carle, children's author & illustrator, and we'll read some of his books. We will discuss what has been read, and sometimes color pictures or work on small projects about the story.
We will learn about the proper care of our library books.
We will also learn how to find the books that we want on the shelves.

Grades 4 thru 8

Grades 4 & 5 come to the library once a week and grades 6, 7 & 8 come twice a week.
There are a variety of things being done to encourage reading. The students (and the librarian) have silent reading time at the beginning of each class. The best thing you can do to encourage your child to read, is to let them see you reading often and reading a variety of material.
REMEMBER TO READ EVERY DAY!!!
